Drawing on extensive privately-owned family archives, this book sets out to celebrate the achievements of Henry Taylor Wyse (1870-1951). An art master in Dundee, Coatbridge, Arbroath and Edinburgh, he influenced the course of art education across Scotland. In a parallel career, he was not only a noted landscape artist but a writer and publisher and a leading member of the Arts and Crafts movement in Scotland. He designed furniture and was a fine craftsman in gesso and metalwork. A founder member of the Scottish Guild of Handicraft, he was also the person behind the celebrated Holyrood Pottery. Paperback.
